The purpose of the FASS Network, integrated by:

These fibre groups got together mainly to gain knowledge, collaborate and increase
awareness of the fibre arts to the residents of the Town of Oakville through teaching, workshops, exhibitions, and collaborating together.
It was the initiative of the Oakville Handweavers and Spinners Guild to call fibre groups from Oakville interested in sharing a room in the new centre soon to be open at Queen Elizabeth Park.
QEPCC will be a welcoming. vibrant and dynamic public space intended to inspire and developactive living and cultural and artistic interests.

OSF Oakville Sewers Forum
Although Sewers Forum has been in operation for over 11 years, the Oakville chapter began in the Spring of 2009. The chapter facilitator is Catherine Goetz, (shown here in the picture) owner of the online fabric and pattern business known as Distinctive Sewing Supplies.
Anyone interested in the art and craft of working with fabric and thread is welcome to attend Oakville Sewers Forum and learn more about the group. The Oakville Sewers Forum provides the opportunity for sewing enthusiasts to share ideas with, and enjoy the camaraderie of, others of similar interests while being updated on the latest tips and trends in sewing.
The Oakville Sewers Forum meets on a monthly basis to share information about sewing related events, publications, techniques and products.
The focus of the Oakville chapter of Sewers Forum is sewing garments, accessories and embellishment, although other forms of sewing are encouraged and welcomed.
Oakville Sewers Forum is an affiliate of Sewers Forum a progressive non-profit network of local sewing clubs located in Southern Ontario, Canada, designed to spread the love of sewing through communication and continuing education. Visit www.sewersforum.com for more information about Sewers Forum.
